The BYD Battery-Box HV received the PV Magazine Award for the "top innovation" category, as this battery storage system is driving progress in three categories: modularity, charging and discharging performance and efficiency.
At the heart of the BYD Battery Box HV series are the battery modules (B-Plus H), which can be plugged together into a tower. Connected in series, the system operates in the high-voltage range without relying on additional DC-DC controllers. This makes the system fast, easy and efficient. The tower is completed by battery modules with the BCU module at the top. Here, the external cables to the inverter are connected, which are the only cables on the battery.Cabling between the modules is not necessary. Installation errors are thus avoided constructively. The construction takes only a few minutes and can be carried out by one single person. The individual modules weigh only 26 kg and are connected to each other firmly by screwing together.
